When Taste of Country spoke to 'American Idol' Season 12 runner-up Kree Harrison in mid-May, she was beyond excited about making her Grand Ole Opry debut. Well, the performance has come and gone, and she nailed it, as we can tell from footage of her performing a beautiful duet of Kris Krisofferson's 'Help Me Make it Through the Night' with an assist from country superstar and 'American Idol' judge Keith Urban.

One could say that Urban helped Harrison, who wore a long blue dress, make it through the night by providing backup on the song. He strummed his guitar and supported Harrison's vocals, but really, it was her time to shine. Her voice was as beautiful than we remember it from her weekly 'Idol' performances, and there was a twang that was more noticeable this time out. It's always been there, but perhaps performing at the storied Opry brought it out just a little bit more.

Harrison and Urban engaged one another during the performance, facing each other and making eye contact from time to time. There was nothing flashy or showy about this rendition of the song. It was simple, faithful and just beautiful.

It makes you wonder how Kree Harrison didn't take the crown and win Season 12. Even so, with a gorgeous set of pipes, the singer has a bright career ahead of her.
