Fiancee of Jo Dee Messina’s Murdered Stage Manager Faces Charges
Jo Dee Messina's stage manager was killed outside his Tennessee home in November 2012. Now, authorities in Florida have arrested his fiancee. Connie Sanders King was found covered in blood outside the home after the shootings. She is facing first-degree murder charges.
Police say she arranged the death of Tom Colucci with her estranged husband, Troy King. Troy King was arrested in March. He was attempting to enter Mexico at the time of his arrest. Connie King was arrested on a charge of being a fugitive from justice on Tuesday (July 2) in Daytona Beach, Fla. WTVF-TV in Nashville says she'll be extradited to Tennessee and faces first-degree murder charges.
The Associated Press reports that Connie King had worked in a motorcycle shop in Florida since March, but it's not clear when she moved from Coffee County, Tenn., where the shooting took place. Troy King was charged with murder and theft charges, as the incident looked like a home invasion.
Jo Dee Messina recently turned a new page in her career. She's no longer with Curb Records and has successfully raised over $100,000 via a Kickstarter campaign to fund her new album.
