Austin, Texas' Jason Boland & the Stragglers are premiering their song "Right Where I Began" with The Boot. Press play below to hear the brand-new track.

A lament-filled, but upbeat, track, "Right Where I Began" "has a fresh view of unapologetic loneliness," Boland tells The Boot. He calls the track "the most hardcore honky-tonk song on the album" -- a statement that's hard to argue with once you hear that traditional melody.

"I got Jack Daniels by the handle / My best bud's in a can / Some wild-a-- turkey's sittin' next to me ..." Boland sings in the chorus of "Right Where I Began." "I'll find a wife for the night / I'll be her lovin' man / Then tomorrow morning, I'll take her home / And I'll be right where I began."

Co-founded 20 years ago in Stillwater, Okla., by frontman Boland, bassist Grant Tracy and drummer and background vocalist Brad Rice, Jason Boland & the Stragglers are gearing up to release a new album, Hard Times Are Relative, due out May 18. Boland, Tracy, Rice, fiddler and mandolin player Nick Worley and guitarist and pedal steel player Cody Angel co-produced the 10-song collection with David Percefull and Adam Odor; it's their ninth studio album.

Boland & the Stragglers have numerous upcoming shows on their calendar, in Texas, Oklahoma and Nebraska; they'll also visit Arkansas in June, Colorado in July, Missouri in August and Maryland in September.
