When Jason Aldean's wife, Brittany, revealed on social media Nov. 4 that the couple would be naming their soon-to-arrive baby daughter "Navy Rome," fans exploded with congratulations and much praise for the pretty, unusual name. They also had many questions as to the story behind the choice—where did that name come from?

As it turns out, there isn't too much behind the selection aside from the fact that Jason and Brittany simply liked it. Like many couples do, the pair brainstormed until they found something that sounded good to both of them.

As Brittany tells People, "We created a list and both were throwing names in there throughout the past few months and Navy happened to be the one we liked the most."

And as for that equally unique middle name? “I chose Rome because I really wanted to name our son Roman but Jason wasn’t a fan," Brittany notes. "So this was my way of sliding that in there!”

Aldean and family celebrated Navy with a fun, tropical-themed shower at Allenbrooke Farms in Spring Hill, Tenn. Even the couple's little son Memphis, who will turn 1 in December, showed up to party. However, he's not quite aware of what's going on with this whole new-baby thing yet.

“He doesn’t remotely understand what’s going on with my belly or all the pink things in the house,” Brittany tells People. “I don’t think he’ll have any clue what’s coming.”

Navy Rome will arrive in February, and we're pretty sure once Memphis realizes he has a permanent buddy to play with, he'll adjust fine to the situation.
