Jason Aldean's musical gamble has paid off. The singer's latest album, 'Old Boots, New Dirt,' debuted at No. 1 in the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart.

Aldean's sixth studio album has sold more than 278,000 units since its release last Tuesday (Oct. 7) and also broke the standing records for the most first day and first week country album streams in the history of Spotify.

'Old Boots, New Dirt' sees Aldean charting somewhat of a new musical course. Its lead single, 'Burnin' It Down,' features a very strong pop influence that could have been a risk, but it has been the fastest-breaking single of the country star's career, which includes 13 No. 1 hits. The album's mix of country, rock and R&B has received critical acclaim from prestigious media outlets including the New York Times, Associated Press and Billboard. Aldean has also been pulling huge numbers on his Burn It Down Tour, which has played five enormous stadium dates in addition to sold-out shows in the country's biggest amphitheaters and arenas.
