What could possibly be any better than all-star baseball and country music all in the same spot? If that is your idea of a dream evening, then tonight, you're in luck! According to CMT Daily Roundup,Jason Aldean will help kickoff Major League Baseball’s 2011 All-Star Week with an on-field performance before the State Farm Home Run Derby in Phoenix tonight at 7PM Central on ESPN. The Georgia native once dreamt of being a professional baseball player and even had scholarships to play in college. Though he found his true calling in country music, Jason is still a huge baseball fan and always keeps track of his home team, the Atlanta Braves. Aldean said, “Luckily, we’re Braves fans…we’re doing alright. Yeah, so I feel pretty good right now!” Jason will take the field to show off his baseball skills in the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game which will air immediately following the Derby tonight.  Other celebrities taking part in the Taco Bell Legends and Celebrity Softball Game include Nick Jonas, Chord Overstreet and Jordin Sparks.

Part of the beauty of tonight's festivities is that it will happen rain or shine (not that there is any danger of rain) because it takes place under the retractable roof of Chase Field in Phoenix. The same goes for the actual All-Star game tomorrow night at 7pm Central.
