KIXS 108 is known for playing the most, the best, and the newest country music. We take a lot of pride in bringing you the hot, new artists like Lady Antebellum, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Brantley Gilbert, etcetera. We also take a lot of pride in the fact that we don't forget our favorites from the past. Of course, we don't go back to the beginning of country music as a genre... that would totally change our format. Those are known as "classic country" stations... they are the country version of "oldies" stations. We do, however, go back as far as 30 years. That's why you can still hear great artists like Alabama, Mel McDaniel, Restless Heart, Randy Travis, George Strait, Alan Jackson, and Reba McEntire on KIXS 108. Now it looks as if Reba is headed back to television.

It may have been four years since Reba McEntire’s self-titled sitcom wrapped up its six-year run, but the singer has continued to flex her acting muscles. CMT Daily Roundup reports that last season, she guest-starred on both CMT’s Working Class and ABC’s Better With You, both of which starred her former Reba cohorts. In reality, Reba’s just been prepping for her own sitcom, which she’ll start shooting in August of 2012. “I'm so excited about doing another TV sitcom!” Reba says. “I miss the Reba show so much so it will be great to get back into the TV world again!!!” She is attached to executive produce and star in Malibu Country, which has been sold to ABC. Granted, even though the papers have been signed, there is always the possibility that the show will not be picked up by the network. If it is, the Variety reports that Reba will play a mother of three, who leaves her cheating husband in Nashville and moves her family to Malibu, California. There she focuses on reigniting her singing career, while hoping to shelter her children from the materialistic Malibu lifestyle.

You can hear Reba every day on KIXS 108.
