A 'Hunter Education Course' will be offered at the Hochheim Prairie Insurance Building, 500 South U.S. Highway 77A in Yoakum, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Sponsored by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Students must attend the entire session and pass an examination for certification.The cost of the course is $15. Every hunter born on or after September 2, 1971, must successfully complete a Hunter Education Training Course. This course is accepted for certification in all 50 states and all Canadian Provinces. Registration prior to the course is mandatory. Students should bring pencils, pens, and highlighters, and have knowledge of their social security numbers. Students under 17 will be given a consent form that is to be signed by a parent or legal guardian. To register, call Dan Balzer at 361-293-5495.
