Like so many other users of Apple products, I anxiously awaited the release of the newest operating system update for the iPhones/iPads/iPods, iOS7. I had seen a couple of Facebook posts of articles--both pro and con--regarding whether or not one should download and install the update right away, or wait. I don't like waiting, so I went for it as soon as it was available (just after 1:00pm yesterday). How did it go for me?

Everything seemed to go fairly smoothly. The only real issue I had was getting my iPhone 5 reconnected to our in-house wi-fi here at the radio station. After a couple of tries, it finally connected, and I was off and running!

The new graphics and interface are very modern, and the look is completely different! I like that Apple has added a few ways to navigate and access apps, controls, and other functions more easily. Some might argue that it has a more "widget-y" look, but I guess that's "in the eye of the beholder."

As I write this, I've only updated my iPhone 5. I will be updating the iOS on my iPad, and I'll let you know how that goes. I'm still playing around with the new iOS, and learning all of its idiosyncrasies; more to come from Yours Truly in the days ahead! In the meantime, if you updated your iDevice(s) to the new iOS7, I'd love to hear what your experience was like. Hit me back with a comment below!--Skeeter
