It’s Spring Break and I know many of you are taking the time off from the daily chaos to just relax and spend time with your families. Many people go camping or take a trip somewhere to celebrate their spring break while others are taking a “staycation” and keeping close to home.

I spent the start of Spring Break week by visiting one of my best friends, Sara, and her family at the lake. It was so relaxing out there watching the kids swing, fish, swim and just generally be kids. The picture you see is the view from their patio looking out at the lake. They have an amazing view and it’s so quiet out there you really can hear and enjoy the kids’ laughter.

For those who have chosen the “staycation” over traveling, there are plenty of places to visit locally such as the Texas Zoo or the Children’s Discovery Museum. Or you can go bowling, skating, catch a movie or visit one of the nearby parks.

The Texas Zoo has had several changes to their exhibits lately so if you haven’t made it by there, I encourage you to visit them. They are open every day from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.

Last but not least, many people around this area are heading to Houston or Austin and spending time at the rodeo. A few of us are heading to Houston Thursday to see Zac Brown (which I am really excited about) and then Saturday we are headed back to see Brad Paisley.

As I write this blog I feel as my brain is on spring break so I will end on this note and wish you the best spring break ever and hope you get to spend times with the ones you love the most.
