Happy Birthday George Strait

On this day in 1952, Country music legend George Strait in born in Poteet, Texas.  The Country music pioneer has change the landscape of  Country music forever.  Strait grew up on a 2000 acre ranch just south of San Antonio.  Early is Strait's high school days he found out that music was for him.  He started his own garage band.  His very first gig was in San Marcos, Texas at a place called Cheatham Street Warehouse.  After that they became very popular in South and South Central Texas. It wasn't long after and George Strait had the attention of Nashville.  George Strait and the Ace in the Hole band were introduced in Nashville and the rest is history.  Thank you George Strait for all the wonderful music.
