Jordan Pacheco pitched 7 innings in a successful homecoming during the Generals' 7-2 Texas Collegiate League win over the Acadiana Cane Cutters in their home opener on Sunday night at Riverside Stadium.

Pacheco was pitching at Riverside Stadium for the first time since the 2011 season during his senior year at Victoria West. Pacheco limited the Cane Cutters (1-2) to three singles and three walks, and did not allow a run after the first inning. He threw 55 of his 87 pitches for strikes and did not allow a runner past second base after the first inning.

The Generals helped Pacheco with 11 hits, including a triple and a double by St. Joseph graduate Kevin Daniels, who scored two runs and had two RBIs.  Chad Kruse also had a hit, which tied him with Memorial graduate Mark Hudson for the most hits in Generals franchise history at 83.

The Generals will return to Riverside Stadium tonight  for a 7 p.m. game against the Brazos Valley Bombers.  For a complete schedule for the 2012 Generals Season click
