Next Monday is the Fourth of July, Independence Day. We're certain you've already got a good idea of what you're doing to celebrate our great country's independence but on the off-chance you haven't made plans yet, we've got together and put together our Top Five suggestion for events you won't want to miss out on.
Willie Nelson will be performing Live at Concrete Street for his Country Throwdown Tour. The show will feature the man himself as well as a host of talented artists like Jack Ingram, Randy Houser, and Lee Brice. The music starts at 2:30pm and you'd be hard pressed to find a better way to kick off your Fourth of July weekend.
There's nothing more American than baseball and the Victoria Generals will be playing this Friday and Saturday. Head out to the Riverside Stadium and cheer for our local baseball heroes.
Looking for something with a bit more culture? Head down to Rockport for their 42nd Rockport Art Festival. The festival includes live music, high quality artists, and a kids' activity tent.
The 2011 Miller Lite Blast Off/Fireworks Show
With live music and fireworks, it's sure to be a hell of a show. The musical acts will feature the beautiful and talented Charla Corn as well as Stewart Mann and the Statesboro Revue. There will be a break in the music for the official City Fireworks show which is sure to please the pyromaniac in all of us.
The Old-Fashioned Backyard Barbeque
Who doesn't love a good barbecue? Keep it close to home and enjoy some time with your family and friends.
