The “world’s greatest 80’s band,” The Molly Ringwalds, will be headlining The Flashback Ball here in Victoria on February 16th, but they recently rubbed elbows on stage with some modern rock stars for a ‘royal’ performance.

The legendary Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins recently joined The Molly Ringwalds on stage for a performance of Queen’s "Another One Bites The Dust”.

An audience member captured this rare video showing the Foo Fighters front man jamming on the drums of The Molly Ringwalds' Sir Liam Thunders, while ‘Foo’ drummer Hawkins does his best Freddy Mercury at the mic.

The Molly Ringwalds will rock Two Step Dance Hall right here in Victoria on February 16th as they provide the awesome 80's soundtrack for The Flashback Ball. You can buy your tickets in advance for only $15.

Grohl even posed for a quick picture with the band, which appears on their Instagram feed from December:

Grohl and Hawkins were actually on hand in 2001 to induct Queen into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Even if Hawkins didn't get every word right, the homage was there. What's your favorite 80's artist to impersonate on karaoke night?
