This is so cool. Think back to November 18, 2011. Where were you? Did you happen to be one of the lucky 1,500 people at Schroeder Hall that night? That was the night KIXS 108 brought Brantley Gilbert to town. That just so happens to be the day his recording of "Country Must Be Country Wide" went #1 on the country music charts. He put on a great show that night and we had more fun than humans should be allowed to have, didn't we?

Now, Brantley Gilbert faces Hunter Hayes and American Idol winner Scotty McCreery for New Artist of the Year at the upcoming ACM Awards on Sunday, April 1st. Because the award is fan voted, Brantley says he’s confident his fans will come through for him. He told CMT Daily Roundup, “Well, I always say we don’t have fans, we have friends. I think a friend is somebody that supports you, #1...and these people are paying money to get CDs and to get into shows and, you know, to support me. So, that and, you know, trust...I can trust that they’re gonna be there.” The three New Artist nominees are scheduled to perform at the ACM Fan Jam and Post-Award Concert happening at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on the night of the awards.

You can hear Brantley Gilbert, Hunter Hayes, and Scotty McCreery every day on KIXS 108.
