Eyes On Our Heroes Ends Tomorrow

Every year, Dr. George Boozalis and Victoria Eye Center honors local first responders by giving away free Lasik Vision Correction and this year, local heroes from Hurricane Harvey will be honored.  On September 7, 2018, Dr. George Boozalis and Victoria Eye Center will reward three (3) local heroes from Hurricane Harvey with the gift of sight without lenses, for FREE. Dr. Boozalis said “Hundreds of local heroes emerged during Hurricane Harvey. This year, we want to reward anyone who showed heroism during Hurricane Harvey with the gift of clear eyesight through LASIK. We encourage everyone to nominate first responders, friends, neighbors, – anyone who went above and beyond to help people in need and who currently wears glasses or contacts to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism.”
The winners will receive FREE Laser Vision Correction - LASIK.

Tomorrow (Aug 8) is the last day to nominate a deserving individual!
How to Register: Interested and qualified local heroes, or loved ones of local heroes, should go to the Victoria Eye Center Facebook page here before August 8, 2018, and tell us why they or someone they know deserves free LASIK. On August 10, 2018, candidate names will be assembled and six (6) stories will be chosen by the Victoria Eye Center staff. Their stories will be placed on Victoria Eye Center’s Facebook page for a final public vote. Three (3) winners will be announced on August 17, 2018. The selected story contestants will be asked to attend a LASIK exam to determine if they are candidates for LASIK or laser vision correction. The exam is essential because not everyone is medically eligible for Laser Vision Correction. Contestants must also be able and available to have the procedure on September 7, 2018
