This week, Eric Church dominates the top of the country singles chart with his latest release, ‘Drink in My Hand.’

The tune is the second release from Church’s critically acclaimed third studio album, ‘Chief,’ which debuted at No. 1 on the country albums chart as well as Billboard’s Top 200 all-genre albums chart. Up until the release of ‘Drink in My Hand,’ the album’s previous single, ‘Homeboy,’ was Church’s highest peaking single to date.

“This is the tenth single we have released to radio,” says Church of the news. “It is truly the greatest example of belief, dedication, determination and plain old hard work that we have achieved this milestone. I can’t thank the EMI staff and country radio enough for making this happen and believing in the music.

“But the real gratitude must go to our fans,” he continues. “I’ve heard countless stories from hundreds of fans of how they have gone above and beyond to get our songs heard and demand that people pay attention to what’s going on in our world.”

Some other firsts that Church has experienced lately include his first Grammy nomination (Best Country Album of the Year for ‘Chief’), a gold certification by the RIAA for ‘Chief’ after only 10 weeks, an ACM Award for New Solo Vocalist of the Year and the announcement of his first arena headline trek, the Blood, Sweat and Beers Tour, which kicks off this week.

Coming in at No. 2 this week on the charts is Luke Bryan‘s ‘I Don’t Want This Night to End,’ penned by the singer and the Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip). Also coming up quickly in the Top 10 are Keith Urban‘s ‘You Gonna Fly’ at No. 8 (co-written by the LoCash Cowboys) and Martina McBride‘s ‘I’m Gonna Love You Through It’ (written by Hayslip, Sonya Isaacs and Jimmy Yeary) at No. 9.
