Dionne Is An Inspiration to Many

DeTar Community Healthcare, Ashley Furniture, McAdams Floral, KIXS 108 and Q 92 teamed up to recognize a breast cancer fighter and wanted to help  inspire, give hope and push forward to those battling the disease. This week we recognized Dionne Vela.

Misty submitted Dionne's name. Here is what she told us about Dionne:Dionne was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 and she endured chemotherapy and surgery for 2 long years and went into remission in June 2014. She has 3 children and a husband that she loves more than life itself... She and her husband are owners of the xtreme heat softball team and she is a awesome team mom for the whole organization... She works at the YMCA.. I've known Dionne now for about 5 years she is a wonderful person inside and out. She is a strong caring loving person and I believe she deserves to be recognized as a fighter!!

Dionne, you are an inspiration and a wonderful example of courage and perseverance. May the fullness of life be yours in the days ahead.
