Every once in a while, a country singer or songwriter hits upon a theme that really hits home for a person or a group of people. It isn't always on purpose... not always a concious effort. I remember reading about how Dierks Bentley's new single "Home" came about. I think it surprised him as much as anybody. Now, the song seems to have a life of it's own, gathering even more fans for Dierks.

Dierks Bentley’s sixth studio album Home is in stores today! The title-track, “Home,” is touching Dierks’ fans, especially those in the military. Dierks told CMT Daily Roundup, “One of the first times I played this song, a girl came up to me that had been in the Navy and told me just how much the lyrics meant to her and since then as the song has gone up the charts more and more, just hearing from so many different fans in the military saying how much the lyrics really affect them, so it’s just awesome to have a song out there that we can sing to our fans and they can sing back to us, and we can really honor those families that are making a huge sacrifice for all of us.” Dierks will kick off his 2012 Country & Cold Cans Tour with special guests the Eli Young Band on April 13th at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
