Sadly, the latest leg of Dierks Bentley‘s Country and Cold Cans Tour came to an end over the weekend. But if you think Bentley spent the last few days leading up to the last show online trying to find the perfect “thank you” gift for his opening acts, you’d better think again. Instead, Bentley decided to pull out the pranks, with the victims being the members of the Cadillac Black.

After Friday night’s show (May 25), Bentley tweeted a picture of his band wearing bee costumes, along with the caption: “prank time on #countryandcoldcans tour. time for the cadillac black to get their ‘buzz’ on!!!”

Both the photo and the caption left many fans scratching their heads, but what Bentley was referencing was the Cadillac Black’s tune ‘Get Your Buzz On,’ which can be found on their debut album that was released this spring.

“We kicked into ‘Get Your Buzz On,’ and all of a sudden there were grown-ass men running around us in bee costumes in front of 3,000 people,” Cadillac Black frontman Jaren Johnston tells Taste of Country. “It was hilarious!”

The Country and Cold Cans Tour, which also featured the Eli Young Band, came to an end Saturday night (May 26) in Oklahoma.
