If you farm or ranch in South Texas, you know the importance of weed and brush control. With that in mind, several DeWitt county entities are offering you an educational opportunity. Texas AgriLife Extension Service of DeWitt County, DuPont Crop Protection and DeWitt County Producers Association are sponsoring a Weed and Brush Control tour on Aug. 29. The program will start at the Cuero Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall parking lot, with registration taking place between 5 and 5:30 p.m. The tour will start promptly at 5:30 p.m. Participants do not need to RSVP to attend this event. Just be sure to show up early enough to allow time for registration.

The tour will take participants to three or four different sites around the Cuero area where current weed and brush control demonstrations are going on. The tour should conclude around 7:30 or 8 p.m.

Supper will not be served, however drinks will be provided throughout the tour. Two and a half Continuing Education Units will be offered for private, commercial and non-commercial applicators license holders.
