City Collecting Extra Trash This Week

I'm sure everyone has a few extra cardboard boxes, Christmas cards, food, wrapping paper, bags. ribbons, maybe even presents that you really really don't like, or what about live Christmas trees?

What do you do with them when Christmas is over?  I have good news my friends!  The city will pick up extra garbage this week so make sure you put all of your trash in plastic bags, boxes, or if you have extra trash cans that will work as well.  Put those items 5 feet away from the automated cart by 7 a.m. on your trash day this week.

If you by chance purchased a live Christmas tree those will be picked up starting January 2nd.  Just make sure you take off the ornaments, lights, stand, angel, etc..  If you have any questions on what qualifies you can contact the Victoria Environmental Services Department at (361)485-3230.
