Chris Stapleton, Emmylou Harris and Eric Church are just a few of the superstar country names added to the bill for Willie: Life and Songs of an American Outlaw, a one-night concert scheduled to honor the life and storied musical career of Willie Nelson.

Other just-announced performers appearing onstage for the tribute include Jimmy Buffett, Bobby Bare, Jamey Johnson, Lukas Nelson, Margo Price, Micah Nelson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Ray Benson, and Steve Earle. They join a slew of country artists already set to participate, such as Alison Krauss, George Strait and Vince Gill.

In 2018 alone, the octogenarian country powerhouse collaborated with Van Morrison, campaigned for Beto O'Rourke in Texas with the help of a brand new song, returned to headline his annual Farm Aid and put out his newest studio album, Last Man Standing, among other accomplishments. Over his six decade career, Nelson has put out countless studio and live projects, won industry awards throughout and beyond the country format and pioneered new directions in Texas and outlaw country as well as in the genre as a whole.

Helmed by a vast array of artists, all of whom could claim some form of inspiration or inheritance from Nelson's outlaw country legacy, the tribute will take place at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on Jan. 12, 2019. The event will also be filmed for a television broadcast schedule, which will air at a later date in 2019.
