Chris Stapleton has announced a free concert at a local high school in a small town in his home state of Kentucky.

WSAZ in Paintsville, Ky., reports that the CMA and Grammy-winning breakout country star will perform at Johnson Central High School in Paintsville on March 24 at 7PM. The singer originally hails from Staffordsville in Johnson Country.

Stapleton announced the concert on Monday (March 14), and by 2:45PM there was already a waiting list for the free tickets. Ram Trucks is presenting the concert as part of its partnership with Stapleton, who is a Ram truck owner himself. They first partnered after the release of his debut album, Traveller, in 2015  for a series of videos sharing stories of Stapleton and other Ram truck owners’ experiences traveling in their trucks.

Traveller was critically acclaimed, but met with mild commercial success initially. That all changed on Nov. 4, 2015, when Stapleton made one of the most unexpected CMA Awards sweeps in history, winning Male Vocalist, New Artist and Album of the Year. He topped off his night with a star-making performance with Justin Timberlake that went viral, and Traveller then shot to the top of the Billboard Country Albums chart. Stapleton also performed at the Grammy Awards in February as part of a tribute to B.B. King, and took home the awards for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Album.

Tickets for the concert in Paintsville are available online at ramhometownheroes.com on a first come, first served basis. The deadline to register is Wednesday, March 23 at 12AM. Registration will close once all seats are taken. Tickets are free, but admission will only be granted to those who register online.
