When Chris Stapleton, his wife Morgane and Anderson East (you might know him as Miranda Lambert's boyfriend) take the stage together, magic happens. Need proof? Look no further than their cover of the Temptations' "My Girl."

The trio performed the 1965 hit live in concert at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday night (April 23). As his band provides the groove, Chris Stapleton sang the first verse, then let East take the lead on the second verse before splitting the third verse; the trio of singers harmonized together on each chorus, turning the sweet No. 1 hit into a sexy jam. Stapleton's audience at the Greek Theatre got to see quite the show: In addition to "My Girl," Stapleton also paid tribute to Prince with “Nothing Compares 2 U,” and to Merle Haggard, with a cover of "Silver Wings." Though he didn't show signs of vocal strain that night, the singer-songwriter announced on Tuesday (April 26) that he had lost his voice and needed to postpone that night's show in Santa Barbara, Calif.

Stapleton has a busy summer coming up after a most eventful year: He recently released new single, “Parachute,” from his debut album, Traveller, and he's booked to play Bonnaroo in June. Then, he and Hank Williams Jr. will be joining forces for a co-headlining tour that runs throughout August.
