Celebrate Earth Day Sunday At The Texas Zoo

In celebration of Earth Day, an Earth Day Expo sponsored by the city's Environmental Services Department, First Victoria Bank and the Texas Zoo, will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m, April 22 at the Texas Zoo. According to the Victoria Advocate, admission is $1 per person, and zoo members are admitted free. There will be conservation programs, Lucas, the singing zoologist, kids' activities, booths and interactive, hands-on learning activities.

Some of the organizations with boothes at the celebration will be the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, Children's Discovery Museum, City Of Victoria Fire Department, Museum Of The Coastal Bend, Master Gardeners, Victoria College, Texas State Aquarium, and many more!

KIXS 108's very own Rob Garrett will be broadcasting live from The Texas Zoo from noon until 2pm. Join Rob for a day that is sure to be fun and educational for the entire family
