(News release--Gonzales Inquirer, Gonzales, Texas) • The Guadalupe River at Gonzales is expected to crest at about 1 p.m. Wednesday at 43 feet — which is classified as major flooding. Conditions could remain flooded until 1 p.m. Thursday.

We all remember 2010. The heat, the dryness, the SWEATING. Day after day the temperatures swelled above 100 degrees.

To say it has been a crazy few days here in Texas would be an understatement. What feels like three months of non-stop torrential downpours across the Lone Star State, was (hopefully) capped off by a Memorial Day Weekend of flooding and tornadoes; from Henderson to Dallas and south to San Marcos.

(News Release) As the Guadalupe River continues to rise, low-lying portions of the City of Victoria will be impacted by flooding. At 9:30 am on Tuesday, May 26, the river level was at 23.21 feet and rising quickly.

All of Texas continued to see overwhelming amounts of rain over Memorial Day weekend, which sparked damaging floods across the state.

The National Weather Service forecasts a crest of 29.9 feet on the Guadalupe River to arrive in Victoria on Thursday afternoon.
