The 'Czech Heritage Festival' will be at the Victoria Community Center, 2905 E. North Street in Victoria, Sunday, September 27th, from 10am to 6pm. They will be serving a pork roast lunch for $9 a plate beginning at 11 a.m. Kolaches, homemade chicken noodle soup and sausage wraps will also be available to purchase.

The Victoria Symphony League Fall Luncheon and Fashion Show will be at the Spring Creek Event Center Wednesday. Doors open at 10:30 a.m.; luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m.

The Shiner Catholic Church Annual Fall Picnic will be held at the Knights of Columbus Park in Shiner on September 6th. Shiner picnic stew, fried chicken, sausage and all the trimmings, tea and dessert will be served from 10:30 to 2 p.m. Drive through to-go plates are available from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the at American Legion Hall on alternate state Highway 90 East.
