One year ago, on Monday, October 1, 2012, I stepped into the KIXS 108 studio to become the new morning personality. I knew this wasn't "just another radio gig;" KIXS 108 has been the #1 station with listeners in the Crossroads region for years and years. Before coming to South Texas, I was the afternoon drive personality at KDXY-FM (104-9 The Fox) in Jonesboro, Arkansas for almost 9 years...also, the #1 station in that market.

Remembering The Alamo

My wife Sweetie and I had the pleasure of making our first visit to San Antonio last weekend. After living in Texas for just over a year, we've just barely "scratched the surface" of places we want to see in the Lone Star State. We were invited by our friend Craig Morris (who happens to be Loretta Lynn's keyboard player--see my previous post) to come see Loretta's show at the Majestic Theatre, so we decided to make a weekend of it.
