A Picture is Worth…
A picture of the Alamo and you think San Antonio. The old Astrodome or even the newer Reliant Stadium reminds one of Houston. So here is your assignment for today! A picture of "what" would or should remind you of Victoria

Just in case you missed the 2011 lighted Christmas parade this year I have you covered. It was truly an amazing event as there were around 130 entries this year. Many different schools, car clubs, bike clubs, and different organizations who participated and they all showed their Christmas spirit this year!
Christmas time is always so much fun. Decorating your house inside and outside with your family brings memories that last forever. Some do go all out and kind of make it look a little ridiculous but still it's nice to be festive and show your appreciation for this wonderful time of year
Living in Victoria, the word "celebrity" doesn't exactly come to mind when we think about our town. It's not like they're popping out of the woodworks in these parts. And that's why we challenged ourselves to come up with a list of famous folk who were born near or in Victoria. It was actually a lot easier than we initially thought it would be so we narrowed it down to a quick Top Five.
Next Monday is the Fourth of July, Independence Day. We're certain you've already got a good idea of what you're doing to celebrate our great country's independence but on the off-chance you haven't made plans yet, we've got together and put together our Top Five suggestion for events you won't want to miss out on.
Victoria is a big-small town. Like a small town, word travels fast in Victoria-just try to get away with something and see how fast word flies. But Victoria is a great city to raise a family... and be a family.

Surviving Mother's Day - One Full Day of Mom
There’s two days a year that you absolutely must remember if you want to stay in mom’s good graces… her birthday and Mother’s Day. It goes for all mothers and if yours tells you it doesn’t bother her that you forgot one of her special days, she’s probably plotting to poison you at Thanksgiving.
At least, that’s what *I’d* do if I were a mom and you forgot me on My Day. What? I learned it from *my* mom…
So why not make a real Day of Mother’s Day to show her how much you appreciate her? A full on Mother’s Day, a whole day of Mom, to show her how much you appreciate her not putting cyanide in your turkey. An ounce of prevention and all that jazz…
Follow the suggestions below and you might just live to see Christmas.
One of the hardest things to do is finding the courage to talk to someone of the opposite sex. Most people fear rejection while others have absolutely no fear at all. It's not so much about finding the courage to talk but also where you go to meet someone

I believe birthday parties are more important than holidays because it's that one day out of the year to celebrate just them and make them feel extra-special. I have a seven year old boy so we have had many birthday parties at different places over the years. Every year I look for somewhere better than last year. The best part about having the party away from the house is there is no clean up. Here are a few places below you could host your child's birthday party.
When you can drive two hours in any direction and arrive in some of the largest cities in Texas, it’s easy to plan a day trip to visit some of Texas’ great landmarks. Two hours gets you to Austin, the Capitol of Texas, or San Antonio, the home of the Alamo. Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi, they’re all right there, just two hours down the road.
With all of these places in such close proximity (relatively speaking), it’s easy to forget that we have some famous landmarks right here in Victoria, Texas. So I’ve put together a list, in no particular order, of some of the historically significant places you might want to visit right here at home.
