Luke Bryan is taking a break from his day job to become a professional baseball player -- at least for a few hours. While in St. Louis, Mo., for his That's My Kind of Night Tour, the 'Play It Again' superstar tried his hand at some batting practice with the St. Louis Cardinals.

Congratulations to the Hallettsville Brahmas baseball team! They are the class 2A state champions!  Reagan McAda pitched a complete game and had two hits to lead Hallettsville to a 4-2 win over Hughes Springs in the state final yesterday (6/6/13) at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. McAda was also named the MVP of the championship game.

Saturday, June 1 at 9 a.m. at Riverside Stadium, UHV is having baseball tryouts. The tryouts are open to unsigned players with eligibility remaining at the NAIA level, including incoming freshmen and junior college transfers.

Pablo Sandoval homered in each of his first three at-bats as the Giants trounced the Tigers, 8-3, in Game One of the World Series.
