This is no surprise to anyone who has lived and/or worked in Victoria for any length of time. Victoria is very proud of it's history and it shows through our city's many preservation efforts. Now we have been recognized nationally for our efforts.

The 2012 CMT Music Awards winners were the stars of the night at the annual ceremony that celebrated the year’s best country music videos. The show, co-hosted by country’s own Toby Keith and actress Kristen Bell, highlighted the best clips of the year while providing an evening full of entertainment with countless live performances from the hottest country acts.

We live in a very historic region. We are very blessed to have several institutions in the area that preserve that history so that generations of Texans can learn from our past. One of our local museums is being recognized for their work in preserving the past.

The countdown to the 2012 CMT Music Awards is on! This Wednesday night (June 6), country music fanatics will get to see country’s top performers take the stage at the awards show. Plus, fans will also catch a glimpse of their favorite artists presenting awards to this year’s winners.

Kip Moore is on one heck of a ride to country superstar status. Not only does he have a critically-acclaimed debut album on the shelves, as well as a new music video and a No. 1 hit song for his latest single, ‘Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck,’ but he also recently just found out that the song has been certified gold for sales exceeding 500,000 digital downloads.

Lady Antebellum took home the trophy for Top Country Artist at the Billboard Music Awards Sunday night (5/20). The band was proud to represent country music, and can easily remember a few legendary bands that have influenced their career.

Toss back those red solo cups, as Toby Keith has signed on to host the 2012 CMT Music Awards, which will air Wednesday, June 6 at 8PM ET on CMT and at CMT.com. The country superstar will be joined by actress Kristen Bell, who will co-host alongside him. We’re beyond excited to see how well Keith and Bell play off one another.
