Really, this was meant to be a follow-up to a blog I posted a couple of days ago. Then I got some really cool news about our friend, Brantley Gilbert.

Eric Church will embark on The Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour in January 2012 with special guest Brantley Gilbert. Eric looks forward to helping fans make memories with his music. Church told CMT Daily Insider,  “I can remember being 16-years-old and going to a concert for the first time with a girl. There was a big group of us. When I hear those songs, I think about her. Music can be powerful enough that that was the soundtrack to whatever relationship we had in a two-week period, and I still think about her, you know? So, I think about that being the guy now that gets to stand on that stage. There are people out there that are living their own version of that in their own way.” Eric sings about his teenage concert experience in the song “Springsteen” on his album, Chief. The tour, which kicks off January 19th, includes Blackberry Smoke, The Cadillac Black, Sonia Leigh, Jon Pardi and Drake White on select dates.

Eric’s live show is featured in the music video for his song “Drink in My Hand.” Check it out here - http://www.cmt.com/videos/eric-church/693552/drink-in-my-hand.jhtml.

With Thanksgiving around the corner, Eric looks back on a successful year with thanks. “I’m thankful for my family. I’m thankful for my son, my wife and great health. From a career standpoint, I’m thankful for the success we’ve had lately. I’m thankful for Chief. I’m thankful for what the fans have done. I’m thankful that I’m gonna get to keep doing this and doing it the way that I want to do it.”

Congratulations to Brantley Gilbert for landing a spot on Eric's tour.

You can hear Eric Church and Brantley Gilbert every day on KIXS 108.
