I’ve told you before, I’m a big fan of the “guitar slingers”. Brad Paisley is one of, if not the most talented “guitar slinger” I’ve ever seen. Now he’s written a book on the subject.

Brad Paisley’s new book, Diary of a Player, highlights the guitar legends who helped him become the superstar he is today. According to CMT Daily Insider, the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year admits the idea to do a book came from respected music journalist and co-writer David Wild. “Last year, when we were writing the CMAs...he said ‘You should write a book about some of these things!’ And I realized that I needed to be able to read something like this when I was ten. There wasn’t anything like that that basically said, ‘Here’s what you can do if you practice,’ which is really what this book ought to be called…‘Brad Paisley: Here’s What You Can Do If You Practice.” Brad’s first book is available in stores and online now.

Brad will appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on Comedy Central at 11PM Eastern tonight. He will also perform a special salute to Glen Campbell with Keith Urban and Vince Gill on the 45th Annual CMA Awards November 9th at 8PM Eastern on ABC. In an interview with Nightline that aired earlier this week, Brad revealed that he recently had a little run-in with the law! “I got pulled over the other day for suspected DUI,” he said, “which was funny since I’m never drunk.” He added, “I hadn’t had a drink at all. I had two kids in the back seat. We had been to get ice cream.” Brad said his kids thought it was “the greatest thing that’s ever happened” and “they ran through the house...telling everybody that Daddy got arrested.” Brad went on to say that the only addiction he’s ever had trouble overcoming is “the guitar.”
