Not every musical idea you have is a good one. Not even if you're Brad Paisley or Carrie Underwood. And two super stars teaming up for a duet can be twice as scary. But now Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood have another hit on their hands with their duet, “Remind Me,” but in the beginning, according to CMT Daily Roundup, the two weren’t so sure they’d struck musical gold. Brad and Carrie heard magic in the initial concept for the song, but knew it needed a little work to ensure that it wouldn’t be what Brad called “the worst idea in the history of mankind.”  “[Brad] I said, ‘I promise this’ll be great. Here’s the idea.’ And I said, ‘The idea is, verse, and it’s like (singing) nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh, nuh…” [Carrie] “He’s singin’ this to me, like, on the phone. Jibberish.” [Brad] “Somethin’ about, you know, you used to say this to me, you used to do this, and I used to be this and (singing) duh, nuh, nuh, nuh, and don’t you miss that? Boom! Chorus! And I go, ‘Now, it’s been so long, I wish I’d remembered (singing) da, da, da da,’ and you sang (playfully imitating Carrie), ‘Remind me.’ And that’s me doin’ that.” Both Brad and Carrie are returning to host the 45th Annual CMA Awards live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, November 9th on ABC.

Brad performed live this morning on ABC’s Good Morning America as part of their Summer Concert Series.
