Battle Against Hunger March 7th

Accolade Homecare and Hospice will be hosting the 3rd annual Battle Against Hunger, a fundraiser to help battle hunger in the Crossroads region. This event will help our local food bank and food pantry to stock their shelves after the busy holiday season, and get them prepared for the summer months, when kids are home and the need is even greater.

The Battle Against Hunger will take place Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Yoakum Gin and Feed. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and live music by the Scott Taylor Band will start around 6:30. Admission to the event will be at least one non-perishable food item, or a cash donation. For each item or dollar donated at the door, you wil receive a ticket for a chance to win one of their many door prizes!

Last year was a resounding success, with over $38.000 worth of food, gifts, and monetary donations. This helped the estimated nearly-250,000 individuals in the Golden Crescent area that will need the help of our local food banks! These are our neighbors in Victoria, Dewitt, Lavaca, Karnes, and Gonzales counties.
