Brantley Gilbert Talks About Lost Love, Shares The Story Behind The Song ‘Saving Amy’
Brantley Gilbert is coming to Victoria on November 18th to headline the 2011 Taste of Country Christmas Tour, but don't assume that the Georgia-born singer will carry on the holiday tradition a la Vince Gill and Amy Grant or John Berry. Gilbert is on the brink of stardom because his shows are as lively and rambunctious as anyone who headlines major arenas and amphitheaters right now. He's focused, emotional and honest. As a result, his fans are as loyal as a biscuit is to gravy.

Events of 9/11 Overwhelming, So Were the Rumors
As we observe the 10th Anniversary of 9/11, it's important to remember that some of the information that will be passed on electronically and presented as fact will in fact be nothing more than speculation, rumor, and sadly, in some cases, outright fabrication.
Rich Buhler, creator of TruthOrFiction.com, has dedicated himself to separating fact from fiction and reminds us that, especially during this emotional time, we should be careful what we choose to believe and, more importantly, what we choose to pass on to our friends and family without checking the facts beforehand.

Value of Sept. 11 Anniversary Memorabilia May Be Short-Lived
Don’t get caught up and overspend on 9/11 mementos
The Better Business Bureau advises caution when purchasing 9/11 memorabilia this coming weekend which sees the country observing the 10th anniversary of that fateful day.
VICTORIA, Texas – With the 10-year anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks approaching, Better Business Bureau is advising consumers that the value of most memorabilia and commemorative items is sentimental; Prices for many items will likely drop over time.
Patriotic websites are promoting magnets, pins, flags, clothing, license tags, license frames and jewelry, among other items as a way to remember the anniversary. Sellers are also marketing commemorative items on auction sites like eBay, where the seller must rely on emailed questions and online photos to determine an item’s value.

Mom of Three is Mom To Be

Stand Alone
GPS Navigators vs. GPS Smartphone Apps
Most modern smartphones have built-in maps and GPS units. But those built-in apps don't give turn-by-turn audio directions, like those you may be used to from a dedicated GPS. You can buy apps that give turn by turn directions, but they tend to be expensive, and require up-front costs or monthly subscription fees. (Mapquest is a notable exception; it's free for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android.)

It’s Summertime!
In case you didn’t know from the 100 degree temperatures, it’s Summer time!! For me that means all 3 of my children are at home, for the most part, 24 hours a day. This can be good and bad.
Some of the things I love about Summer include staying in bed until after 8 a.m. Granted, I usually don’t sleep past 6:30, but I do get to lie in bed and snuggle with my babies and try to catch an extra 10 minutes of sleep while they watch cartoons! I also love going swimming. It’s one of the only ways to let the kids expend some major energy while keeping cool and it also usually also guarantees a really good naptime!
