Earlier this week, Eric Church and his band set out to film a video for Church’s ‘Springsteen,’ the third single from his Grammy-nominated record, ‘Chief.’ The country hitmaker officially released the single at the beginning of this year, and now he’s working on the music video to accompany it. Taylor Swift is finishing out her Speak Now World Tour in Australia and New Zealand, and she just played two nights at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre (March 6 and 7) to an ecstatic crowd. There, Swift broke out her ‘Hunger Games’ hit ‘Safe and Sound’ for the first time ever as a solo performance. Though the pop-country songstress officially debuted the song at the Ryman with vintage Americana duo the Civil Wars back in January, this was the first time she stood alone without the accompaniment of her co-writers.

Taylor Swift Dons Kanye West-Designed Shirt for Harper’s Bazaar Shoot

It’s going to be a long time before any of us truly forgets that awkwardly painful moment at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards between Taylor Swift and Kanye West. After Swift won the award for Best Female Video, the rapper charged the stage in the middle of her acceptance speech, hijacked the mic and made a rant in favor of Beyoncé. Whether you’re a Swift fan or not, that was a moment of discomfort for everyone involved. Even so, a recent move by the country starlet seems to suggest that she’s willing to forgive and (at least try to) forget.

Scotty McCreery Records Tim McGraw Cover for ‘American Idol’ Exit Song

Rather than making that moment more awkward with silence or a peppy pop song spinning in the background, ‘Idol’ commissioned last season’s winner Scotty McCreery to record the farewell song to make it a memorable moment. McCreery chose to do a cover of Tim McGraw‘s 1999 hit, ‘Please Remember Me.’

Taylor Swift Covers Harper’s Bazaar Australia

Perhaps it was Taylor Swift‘s recent ‘Vogue’ cover that inspired the editors of the Australian edition of Harper’s Bazaar to put the glamorous ‘it girl’ on the front of their April issue. Whatever the inspiration, Swift can be seen on the cover in a black and gold shimmering Gucci dress — priced at $10,000 — that nods to the ’80s with its bold, almost geometric pattern, but is more reminiscent of a swanky flapper dress from the ’20s.
