Area Graduate Serves Aboard USS Fitzgerald

Pictured above is Blake Freeman, a graduate of Yorktown High School.  The now Petty Officer 3rd class Blake Freeman, is serving aboard the U.S Navy destroyer USS Fitzgerald.  He works in a base south of Tokyo.  He is responsible for safely navigating the ship through the ocean.  He is alongside a 300 member crew,  right now they are living on water thousands of miles from home.  His crew is one of many protecting America on the worlds oceans.  Freeman is part of a suit that includes sailors from every state of the and many ethnicities.  He joined the Navy to travel and see the world, and that he is.  We thank you for your service Blake Freeman!
