Crossroads Autism Network will host the April Autism Awareness kickoff April 1 at the Victoria Art League building. Paint the Town will begin at 6:30 p.m. at 905 S. Bridge St., and doors will open at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Crossroads individuals with autism by covering costs for therapeutic horseback riding, art lessons, aquatic therapy and create-a-wish day events.

The $45 fee will include the canvas, paint, supplies and snacks. Participants should make reservations by March 30 with Eunice Collins at 361-572-0825 or eunicecollins@ymail.com.

Crossroads Autism Network formed in March to raise awareness about autism and to provide support and services for individuals with autism and their families. Support groups, parent workshops, peer-to-peer mentoring and community education are among the offerings.
