Spectrum Winds, a component of the United States Air Force Band of the West, will perform in concert at the Leo J. Welder Center for the Performing Arts at 3 p.m. March 2. Victoria College is hosting the show, which is family-friendly, open to the public and free of charge. Tickets are not required. This woodwind quintet, stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, draws on a long heritage of chamber music, from Mozart and Beethoven moving forward to contemporary jazz and pop music, marches and patriotic favorites. Composed of six world-class musicians, Spectrum Winds explores the diverse world of chamber music for winds and percussion, exposing audiences to traditional woodwind quintet literature, Latin, jazz, Celtic and more. The group entertains at venues such as official military ceremonies and functions, educational outreach events at elementary and junior high schools, recruiting concerts at high schools and college campuses and outreach engagements in various communities.

The Welder Center is located at 214 N. Main St. in downtown Victoria.
