If anyone watched the womens game last night, you immediately thought it was much more exciting than watching the mens final game of the NCAA tourney.  I don't think I have ever really watched a game of womens basketball untill last night and I was not disspointed.

I did learn a few things while watching.  The first thing was that these girls are like running backs in football when they take the ball into the paint.  They have basically no fear as they drive to the basket.  It is the first National Title for the Aggies.  The Aggies coach is no stranger to the Final Four though, reaching it in 1998 with Arkansas and not to mention 17 appearances to the tournament.

The final score, Texas A&M over Notre Dame 76-70 with Senior Danielle Adams scoring 30 points and grabbing 9 boards to lead the Aggies.  For Notre Dame Skylar Diggins led the team with 23 points, 3 assists and 4 steals.  Watching Skylar Diggins was very impressive.  That girl can play some basketball and I'm sure you will see her in the WNBA in the future although she is only a sophmore.  Adams on the other hand is a senior and I'm pretty sure she will be offered a contract.  Standing at 6'5" she towered over her opponents with Magic Johnson like shots to go with her impressive jump shot ability.

Overall I actually enjoyed watching the game.  More than I did with the mens tournament.  The mens game was boring, they missed shots, and they looked like two high school teams.  The women took it to the basket, made some really impressive shots and fought hard both halfs of the game.  Like I said the halftime score from the womens final was more than the whole game from the mens .  How bout them Aggies!
