On Wednesday night (May 11), the Americana Music Association unveiled the nominees for this year's Americana Music Awards, with Jason Isbell, Lucinda Williams and Chris Stapleton leading the list.

Isbell, the 2014 AMAs Artist of the Year, earned nods for Album of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year -- three total -- while Williams and Stapleton each received two noms. Williams -- 2015's Album of the Year winner -- is up for Artist of the Year and Album of the Year; Stapleton, too, is nominated for Artist and Album of the Year.

Also among this year's Americana Music Awards nominees are Margo Price (New / Emerging Artist of the Year, Song of the Year), Kacey Musgraves (Song of the Year) and Bonnie Raitt (Artist of the Year). A complete list of 2016 nominees is below; Lifetime Achievement Awards winners will be announced at a later date.

The 2016 Americana Music Awards are set for Sept. 21, during the 2016 Americana Music Festival, which is scheduled to run Sept. 20-25. The six-day festival takes place in Nashville, and the awards ceremony itself is held at the Ryman Auditorium.
