2015 VISD Musical

Victoria ISD presents it's production of "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" at January 15th through the 17th at the Victoria Fine Arts Center, 1002 Sam Houston Drive in Victoria. Tickets are $10 and available at the door. This will be the second joint-musical by students from Victoria West High School and Victoria East High School. Kenneth Peach, the VISD Fine Arts Department director, began the joint-campus tradition last school year with a production of "Little Shop of Horrors." "With this show we're not only including elementary students, we also have middle school students involved too," Peach said. "'Little Shop of Horrors' was mostly high school and some middle school students."

Almost 60 Victoria elementary school students will play a variety of characters from the beloved fairytale including Oompa Loompas, squirrels and cooks. Peach will conduct 26 musicians in the orchestra pit of the theater.
